By removing recyclables from the waste stream Fairfield residents saved $2,419,060
in 2014 – that’s just ONE year –

in trash disposal costs!  
It really does pay to recycle!!

 

BayStateTextilesBay State Textiles, a fiber recycling company, will be collecting used clothing, shoes, linens and accessories at Fairfield’s Earth Day Celebration Sunday, April 30, 10am-4pm at Fairfield Theatre Company (FTC), 70 Sanford Street. Eighty percent of the items collected will be reused and the other fifteen percent will be recycled into fiber to be used in the making of new products.

The following items will be accepted:
Clothing: Tops, Sweaters, Sweatshirts, Dresses, Tank, Tops, Blazers, Pants, Jeans, Sweatpants, Skirts, Shorts, Slacks, Undergarments, Socks, T-Shirts, Slips, Pajama’s, Coats

Footwear: Shoes, Heels, Pumps, Sandals, Boots, Work Boots, Dress Boots, Winter Boots, Sneakers, Cleats, Slippers, Flip Flops

Accessories: Hats, Pocketbooks, Belts, Gloves, Duffle Bags, Ties, Scarfs, Totes, Bathrobes

Linens: Sheets, Blankets, Draperies, Aprons, Dish Towels, Table linens, Comforters, Throw Rugs, Placemats, Stuffed Animals
