Fairfield’s Earth Day Celebration

The Town of Fairfield, Connecticut has been celebrating Earth Day annually for over two decades.

This year we’re going virtual but we’re keeping most of what has made our Fairfield Earth Day Celebration a perennial favorite.

We’re focused on community: on our town, on building community and this year, specifically on how we can help each other during and after this unprecedented worldwide pandemic.

We’re also highlighting our local music talent. Many folks have told us we should call our event a music festival and on the evening of 4/22, Earth Day, we will be holding a music festival!

And we wouldn’t be the same without highlighting our environmental non-profits.  We’re excited about this year’s unusual event and look forward to your participation and comments.  We just couldn’t let the 50th anniversary of Earth Day happen without a celebration in Fairfield.

The Fairfield Earth Day Celebration is organized by the Sustainable Fairfield Task Force.  For more information about Sustainability in Fairfield visit:

Earth Day Quotes

What’s the use of a fine house if you haven’t got a tolerable planet to put it on.

Henry David Thoreau

Good planets are hard to find. Don’t blow it.

One individual cannot possibly make a difference alone. It is individual efforts, collectively, that makes a noticeable difference—all the difference in the world.

Dr. Jane Goodall

Let’s celebrate Earth together.
