FED Gustave Whitehead Picture1
Kosch, the project president, and a member of the Board of Directors at the Air and Space Center in Stratford, helped to build and fly the replica. The aircraft was flown in 1901 first in Fairfield, then in Bridgeport and Stratford, two years before the Wright Brothers flew their aircraft in North Carolina. Bring your camera and pose for a picture in front of the Condor. Find out why the original aircraft produced less pollution than the planes that followed.
