Connecticut Roundtable on Climate and Jobs
Looking for ways to share your excitement for the planet on the 50th anniversary of Earth Day in the midst of this very serious health crisis? We are excited to share an Earth Week Social Media Toolkit made in collaboration with Labor Network for Sustainability. The graphics in the toolkit highlight the connections between the health crisis, labor injustice, and environmental injustice.
In the toolkit you will find graphics optimized to fit Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as well as some sample posts to go along with them! We encourage you to share one or more of the graphics with your membership, supporters, or followers! And remember to tag us in the caption and use the hashtags: #EarthDay50, #United4Workers, #EarthDaytoMayDay, and #EarthDay2020

Electrification: Invest in Connecticut’s Sustainable Transportation Future
Tuesday, April 28, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
The Transportation and Climate Initiative is a regional cap-and-invest program to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the transportation sector. Revenue from this initiative would be reinvested to clean, equitable transit options, expanded electric vehicle rebates and charging stations, electrifying transit, as well as safe walking and biking routes in cities and connecting neighborhoods to town centers. The Transportation and Climate Initiative has the potential to be a major job creator in a post-COVID-19 world, all while reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
Join us to learn more about CT’s sustainable transportation future and how this initiative can provide necessary funding for electrification of our school buses, public transportation, electric vehicles, and EV charging stations. RSVP
