Incorporated in 2010, Wilton Go Green was created by a group of citizens eager to engage the community of Wilton, CT in sustainable initiatives.

Wilton Go Greeen came together in the fall of 2009 as a committee of the Wilton Energy Commission charged with putting on the first Wilton Go Green Festival. Sharing a mutual passion for conservation and sustainability, we wanted to create a fun, informative day for people to learn about the simple steps they can take to make better use of energy, money, and our scarce resources. We found that many organizations in and around our town were eager to participate — from non-profits and corporations, to pre-schools and faith communities. With over 80 exhibitors, 20 workshops and more than 1,000 attendees, the Festival was a huge success.

And so, this group of volunteers spun-off from the Wilton Energy Commission to establish Wilton Go Green, Inc. Our goal is to develop a wide range of sustainable initiatives in cooperation with the Town and other area nonprofits.
