Mill River Wetland Committee and Sustainable Fairfield Task Force have joined forces to offer Nature’s Tapestry, one of MRWC’s new community programs on Thursday, April 22nd at 4pm. This will be a great way to celebrate Earth Day and give the kids a chance to vibe with Mother Nature.

This year MRWC developed a suite of three new 90-minute drop-off educational experiences for kids 7-10 years old (with more in the works!) These programs take place at MRWC’s outdoor classroom, with protocols in place to keep everyone safe. The programs are designed to engage young naturalists in discovery in one of Fairfield’s magnificent open spaces. Through this series of programs, kids will explore the work of a meandering river; identify and observe adaptations of plants and animals in the many Mill River habitats; and understand the complex relationships among living and nonliving things in the Mill River basin ecosystem.
The different sessions compliment each other, and can be done as a one-time experience or you can sign up for all three! The cost for the 90-minute Earth Day session is $15 per child.
