Well, we won’t be going to the moon anytime soon, but many of us do have to go to work; and luckily, public transport lives. In a new podcast series called “Along the Lines,” Rich Andreski, Connecticut’s DOT Bureau Chief of Public Transportation, will chat with advocates, local policymakers, members of the community, and most importantly, the riders of public transportation.

COVID-19 has dealt a blow to public transport, with diminished ridership on trains and busses, but as Andrewski points out in the first of these podcasts, essential workers have kept trains and busses rolling, getting other essential workers to their jobs during the pandemic.

Andreski is joined by Garrett Eucalitto, Deputy Commissioner of CT DOT, and Melissa Kaplan Macey, VP of State Programs and Connecticut Director for Regional Plan Association (RPA). They discuss CTDOT taking steps to ensure the health and well-being of employees and essential workers who take public transport.

Tune in to hear how public transportation keeps Connecticut’s economy moving.

“Along the Lines” is now available on Apple, Google, Soundcloud, Libsyn, and Spotify.
