The EV Club of CT and Sustainable Fairfield held a parade to the delight of spectators and EV enthusiasts as part of National Drive Electric Week and Green Wheels Expo.
In lieu of our usual Green Wheels Expo car show, parade was the perfect solution to providing a show of electric vehicles while maintaining a safe distance.
The parade started in Westport at the Westport/Saugatuck train station and ended at the Old Town Hall in Fairfield, led by the Westport Chief of Police, Foti Koskinas, driving one of the country’s first EV police cars, a Tesla Model 3.
In addition to the Westport PD’s Tesla Model 3, there were a range of Tesla’s, including the new crossover SUV, the Model Y, as well as the new Porsche Taycan sportscar, a 1903 Baker replica, and more! Check out the gallery below for photos of some of the cars that participated.

Thank you to the Westport and Fairfield town officials and Westport Police Department for making this event a reality.
Special thanks again to the EV Club of CT for collaborating with Sustainable Fairfield on yet another successful EV event, and to all of the members who took time out of their weekend to show off their green ride! We are grateful for all of your hard work promoting and advocating for sustainable transportation!
