The Interreligious Eco-Justice Network is a non-profit organization that works to inspire and empower religious communities in Connecticut to be faithful stewards of the planet. To achieve this, we have helped houses of worship and their members make many changes that reflect a theological understanding of the importance of environmental stewardship. We have helped people of faith with a number of initiatives, such as becomng more energy efficient, reducing their carbon footprint, eliminating toxic chemicals from their life, and planting community gardens. The Interreligious Eco-Justice Network is the CT affiliate for the national group, Interfaith Power & Light. CT IPL seeks to organize a religious response to global warming as part of a national network of faith communities.
